Baobab Smoothie
There's always a banana on the counter that's gone past the point where you want to eat it whole but isn't quite ripe enough to justify making banana bread. This smoothie is what you make with that banana. The oats make it substantial enough to count as breakfast, and baobab powder adds a citrus note that stops it tasting like you're just drinking liquid porridge. The yogurt gives it enough creaminess to feel satisfying without making it heavy. Takes about five minutes. Add ice cubes if you want it colder.
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- Half a handful of rolled oats
- 1 tsp SACO Baobab Powder
- 1 glass of soya milk
- 3 tbsp of yogurt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Method
- Pour the yogurt and the milk into the blender.
- Cut the banana into chunks and add to the blender along with the oats, the baobab powder, and the maple syrup.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve in a tall glass.
- Enjoy!
