Mango and Banana Smoothie with Dried Mango
Most people eat dried mango straight from the bag as a snack. But if you're wondering what else you can do with it, this smoothie is the answer. The dried mango blends into the smoothie and adds concentrated mango flavour without needing fresh fruit. The frozen banana makes it thick and creamy. Optional ginger flakes add a slight kick. Soak the dried mango for at least an hour before blending if you want an even smoother texture.
Ingredients
- 3 frozen bananas
- 700ml soya milk (or your favourite milk)
- 4-5 slices of SACO Organic Dried Mango
- ½ tsp of SACO Baobab Powder
- Very small pinch of SACO Ginger Flakes (optional)
Method
- If time allows, soak the dried mango slices in a little warm water for an hour to soften.
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust — add more mango for sweetness or more milk to thin it out.
- Serve immediately.
Serves 4. Tip: soak the dried mango beforehand for the smoothest texture.
