Cocoa Husk Tea origin
Where It Comes From

Grown with care in the heart of West Africa

After the cocoa pods are opened, the seeds are extracted, fermented, and sun-dried to become cocoa beans. After roasting, the shells are separated from the beans. The nibs go to the grinder to make chocolate. The shells become this loose-leaf tea. Nothing is wasted. The entire process honours the cocoa tree. SACO sources ethically from small-scale cooperatives in the Ivory Coast who use only fairtrade cocoa beans.
