Where It Comes From

Grown with care in the heart of West Africa

After the cocoa pods are opened, the seeds are extracted, fermented, and sun-dried to become cocoa beans. After roasting, the shells are separated and the nibs are ground into a thick paste called cocoa mass. The cocoa butter is then pressed out, and what remains is dried and milled into a fine powder.

Nothing is added. Nothing is removed except the fat.

SACO sources ethically from small-scale cooperatives in Ivory Coast, working directly with producers who have tended these trees for generations.
