Hibiscus Tea

May 04, 2026 1 min read

Hibiscus tea steeps into a deep ruby red and tastes tart and cranberry-like. It's caffeine-free, so you can drink it at any time of day without lying awake at night. The dried flowers need 4 to 8 minutes to steep depending on how strong you want it. Add sweetener if the tartness is too sharp on its own, or drink it plain if you like sour flavours. Good for when you want something warm that isn't coffee or regular tea.

Ingredients

  • ½ tsp SACO Hibiscus Flower
  • 200-250ml hot water
  • Favourite sweetener (optional)

Method

  1. Place ½ tsp of hibiscus flower in the teapot.
  2. Pour 200ml of hot water.
  3. Let infuse for 4-8 minutes.
  4. Add sweetener if desired.
  5. Strain and serve.
