Ginger Tea
When the weather turns cold and you want something warm to drink that isn't coffee or regular tea, ginger infusion is what you want to reach for. The warmth hits you first, then the sharpness from the ginger. Ginger flakes save you the hassle of peeling and grating fresh ginger. Steep it for 3 minutes if you want it mild, 5 for strong, 7 or longer if you want it to properly wake you up. Add lemon and honey if you want it sweeter and sharper.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp SACO Ginger Flakes
- 200ml filtered water
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- ½ lemon, squeezed (optional)
- Fresh mint (optional)
Method
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add ginger flakes to teapot and pour hot water over.
- Cover and steep: 3 minutes (mild), 5 minutes (strong), 7+ minutes (extra strong).
- Strain if your teapot doesn't have an infuser.
- Add lemon and honey if using.
- Enjoy.
